The golden rule
Enable only Read and Spot Trade permissions. Never enable Withdrawal or Transfer. Mantix will never ask for them.
Step-by-step

Create your Bitget account
Go to bitget.com and sign up. Complete identity verification — Bitget requires KYC for API trading.

Open API Management
Click your profile icon in the top-right corner and navigate to API Management (sometimes labelled API Keys in the menu).

Create a new API key
Click "Create API" and select "System-generated API Key" (not "Self-generated") for the simplest setup.

Configure the key
Name: e.g. `Mantix API`. Passphrase: create a strong passphrase and save it immediately — Bitget shows it only once. Permissions: enable Read and Spot Trade. Do not enable Withdrawal, Transfer, or Futures (unless you specifically intend to use futures strategies — Mantix's grid strategies run on Spot).

Whitelist Mantix's IPs
In Mantix, open Settings → Exchange → Bitget and copy the IP addresses. Paste them into the Bitget IP whitelist field. Whitelisting IPs is strongly recommended — it ensures that even if your API key leaked, no other server could use it.

Verify and confirm
Complete Bitget's security verification (2FA code, email confirmation). Bitget will then show your API Key and Secret Key once — copy them right away.

Paste everything into Mantix
In Mantix, paste API Key, Secret Key, and Passphrase. Save the connection. Within a few seconds your Bitget balance should appear.

Balance not showing?
Disable browser auto-fill, switch to incognito, or try a different browser.
Passphrase forgotten?
You'll need to delete the key on Bitget and create a new one — passphrases cannot be recovered.
