Risk Disclosure
Effective date: 25 June 2026 Last updated: 25 June 2026
This Risk Disclosure explains the main risks of using Mantix and of trading crypto-assets through automated strategies. It supplements, and forms part of, our Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. You should read this document carefully before you connect an exchange or start a strategy.
In this document, "Mantix", "we", "us", and "our" refer to Mantix Group Ltd, a private company limited by shares incorporated in England and Wales under company number 17267871, with its registered office at 50 Princes Street, Ipswich, IP1 1RJ, United Kingdom, operator of the service at mantix.trade (the "Service").
1. No investment, financial, tax, or legal advice
Mantix is a software service. Nothing on the Site, in the Service, in our marketing, in our documentation, or in any message from us constitutes investment advice, a personal recommendation, a solicitation, or an offer to buy or sell any crypto-asset or financial instrument. We do not assess whether any strategy, plan, or crypto-asset is suitable or appropriate for you. You are solely responsible for your own decisions and for seeking independent professional advice where you need it.
2. Crypto-assets are high-risk
Crypto-assets are highly volatile and speculative. Their prices can move sharply in short periods, in either direction, and they may lose most or all of their value. You should never trade with funds you cannot afford to lose. Historical performance, backtests, demo runs, and marketing figures are not a reliable indicator of future results.
3. Automated strategy risk
Mantix places and cancels orders on your connected exchange according to the strategy and parameters you select and configure. This means:
- the strategy may generate losses, including losses larger than expected;
- parameters that performed well in the past may perform poorly in the future;
- market conditions (low liquidity, gaps, flash moves, news events, exchange outages) can cause the strategy to fill at prices very different from those shown on screen;
- an unattended strategy can accumulate losses quickly if you do not monitor it.
You remain in full control of your funds and of your strategy configuration at all times.
4. Leverage and liquidation
Where you enable a strategy that uses derivatives, margin, or leverage on your exchange, losses can exceed your initial position and can lead to partial or full liquidation of your position by the exchange. Fees, funding rates, and slippage will apply and can materially affect your results.
5. Technical and operational risk
The Service depends on software, networks, and third-party infrastructure that can fail. You accept that:
- our Site or backend may be unavailable, degraded, or delayed;
- exchange APIs may be rate-limited, delayed, temporarily unavailable, or return incorrect data;
- orders may be delayed, partially filled, filled at a worse price, rejected, or duplicated;
- backups, deployments, or maintenance windows may pause a running strategy;
- bugs, misconfiguration, or connectivity issues may cause the strategy to act differently than you expected.
We take reasonable steps to keep the Service reliable, but we do not guarantee continuous, error-free, or timely operation.
6. Exchange and custody risk
Mantix is a non-custodial service. Your funds stay in your own account at the exchange you connect (for example Binance, Bybit, Bitget, or KuCoin). We never take custody of your assets, and API keys must be created without withdrawal permission.
This means you are also exposed to the risks of the exchange itself, including:
- exchange insolvency, hack, freeze, delisting, or account restriction;
- the exchange changing fees, symbols, contract specifications, or API behaviour;
- the exchange applying regional restrictions to your account or country;
- the exchange revoking or invalidating your API keys.
We are not responsible for losses caused by the exchange or by actions the exchange takes on your account.
7. Third-party risk
The Service integrates with third parties, including hosting and infrastructure providers, analytics providers, communication providers, payment processors, and the exchanges you connect. Outages, changes, or errors at any of these third parties can affect the Service and your strategies. We are not liable for third-party acts or omissions beyond our reasonable control.
8. Your responsibilities
By using the Service you confirm that you:
- are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract;
- are not located in, resident in, or acting on behalf of anyone in a jurisdiction where use of the Service, of the connected exchange, or of crypto-assets is unlawful;
- have read and understood our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy;
- understand how the strategy you enable works, and monitor it while it is running;
- keep your account credentials, API keys, and 2FA factors secure;
- are responsible for reporting and paying any taxes on your trading activity in your jurisdiction.
9. Jurisdictional eligibility
Crypto-asset services are regulated differently around the world, and some products or features may not be available or lawful in your country or region. It is your responsibility to check whether you may lawfully use the Service and the connected exchange from your location.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for trading losses, missed opportunities, loss of profits, loss of data, or any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising out of or in connection with the Service. Our overall liability is limited as set out in our Terms & Conditions. Nothing in this document limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Changes to this Disclosure
We may update this Risk Disclosure from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, in the market, or in the law. We will post the updated version on the Site and revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Disclosure.
